French Toast

4 shots out of 5

These last  two weeks have be absolutely insane for us.

Everywhere I turned there was another soccer game, baseball game, softball game, Tae Kwon Do class or something to do for the end of the school year.  Plus we have a Middle School graduate this year which makes things that much more exciting.  We're also going to be attending a family reunion soon and then we will be planning a graduation party as well.

So much to do, so little time!  But I did have time to quickly buy our sons high school summer reading book, Mythology by Edith Hamilton from amazon, phewph...one thing down.

Just typing all of that out exhausts me!

A friend of mine gave me some of his Fireball Whisky a while ago so that I could make tonight's........OK, so this afternoons cocktail.

I had every intention to make it within a day or two after he gave it to me.....and then came the sickness that swept through this house.

Now that I have my taste buds back in working order I decided, what better time to make and have a cocktail then now!

I gave today's cocktail 4 shots out of 5.

This is a tasty shooter for sure.  None of the three ingredients over powered the other in this shooter at all.

I thought that if any of them would over power the others it would be the Fireball Whisky, but no it was a nice calm cinnamon taste that complimented the others quite well.

Here is a photo of the end result:

Here is the recipe for a French Toast:

  • 1/2 ounce Fireball Whisky
  • 1/2 ounce butterscotch schnapps
  • 1/2 ounce Irish Cream Liqueur

In a shaker, add ice and all of the ingredients above.  Shake well and strain into a shot glass and enjoy!

Thank You Paul for my little Tupperware of Fireball!

Cheers!

  2. This looks to be a fantastic little shooter. And better than my $10 French Toast I got at brunch this morning. Cinnamon Whiskey and Baileys make good playmates
