Angry Balls

Look at me blogging twice in a week!  I guess it has been one of those kinds of weeks.

Angry Balls cocktail, hard apple cider, angry orchard, fireball whisky, cinnamon whisky

Our exciting week is almost coming to a conclusion with one more fun thing to do, our oldest sons graduation party.

I'm totally fine, I have had a year to prepare myself for the fact that our oldest is going to be staring high school in two and a half weeks (excuse me I just had to run over to him to announce that information I just figured out......I'm back).

I had planned to make tonight's cocktail weeks and weeks ago, but I guess I kept on finding other cocktails to make in the meantime and pushed it aside.  Tonight's the night.  It is time for some Angry Balls!!

I gave tonight's cocktail 3.5 shots out of 5.  On Facebook Fireball Whisky has a recipe for Angry Balls which is 8:1 and I thought that that was too much Angry Orchard so I amended it to my liking's.

I can definitely taste the cinnamon in the Fireball in my version as well as the apple cider from the Angry Orchard.  For me this is the best combo, but if you don't want as much cinnamon flavor I would go with 6:1.

Here is my recipe for Angry Balls:

  • 6 ounces hard apple cider
  • 1 1/2 ounces cinnamon whisky
In a taller cocktail glass pour in all of your ingredients above.  Give it a quick stir and enjoy!

Here's to a crazy week and a couple cocktails to make it that much better!

Cheers!!

  1. This looks like a very interesting mixed drink–I will have to try over this weekend. Evan Williams Cinnamon Reserve is also a great cheaper alternative to Fireball

  2. I'm going to have to get some cinnamon whiskey since I have hard cider. This sounds pretty interesting.

  3. I don't have or want hard cider, but I recently got some of the Fireball stuff. I quite liked it, but after only a couple of different days drinking it (chilled, just a sipped shot or two, no binges or anything extreme), I've discovered it gives me a heck of a headache about an hour or two after drinking it. I'm bummed, since I like cinnamon. :( I'm going to risk another one, though, to see how that French Toast recipe works. :)

    1. Ha ha, gotcha. Oh no I'm sorry that Fireball gives you a headache! That's not fun. Thanks for taking one for the French Toast team though, I think you'll like it and having it mixed with the other 2 ingredients will hopefully leave you without a headache =) Let me know how it goes!
