Valentine Kiss

This Valentine's Kiss is the perfect Valentine's Day cocktail.  It combines 3 simple ingredients for an extra delicious taste!

Delicious cocktail with coconut rum, cranberry juice and peach schnapps.

It's January and today's weather was quite warm.

We were out in the backyard blowing bubbles for a while this afternoon and I almost wanted to go back in and change out of my jeans into shorts.

I love love love the sun and the warm weather......the only thing bad about days like today is the unfortunate fact that we are in a drought right now.

On a better note, this weekend will be fun.

We will be celebrating my Grandma's 98th birthday, our oldest's 15th "Friend Party" Birthday as well as hosting a small Brunch at our house, thanks to Pinnacle Vodka!

They have a new flavor which is Cinnabon and it is not yet available up here in California where we live (it's only made it to Southern CA so far), so I am excited to be receiving a bottle and trying it out this weekend.

I had found another Valentine cocktail online, made it, and tried it........yuck!  It had a horrible after taste of cough syrup, bleck.  I dumped it and just created my own yummy cocktail.

This cocktail has three simple ingredients, it's red, it goes down easy.....very easy and it's almost gone.  What more could you ask for?

My Valentine Kiss is a perfect cocktail to make for a Valentine gathering.

It's easy to make and if you are having a larger crowd over you could always make it in pitcher form, no problem.

If your Valentine gathering includes yourself, or another person, these can be made by the one's and two's as well.

Here is my recipe for a Valentine Kiss:

  • 1 1/2 ounces coconut rum
  • 1 1/2 ounces cranberry cocktail juice
  • 1/2 ounce peach schnapps
In a shaker, add ice and all three ingredients above.  Shake and strain into a martini glass and enjoy!

Here's to a fun filled weekend and a new cocktail for you all to try out during it!

Cheers!!

  1. Happy Birthday to your grandma! Cheers to warm January weather -- I'm in denial about an impending drought. ;-)
