Creamy Nutty Paddy

Creamy Nutty Paddy

Today's goal was to create a green cocktail.

Many think of creme de mint when they think of a green drink.

For that sole reason I pulled out my sour apple pucker.

Then I decided to just get a little crazy/creative and mix it up with the new heavy cream my husband bought and a couple other items in the bar.

There you have it, Creamy Nutty Paddy.

I can honestly say that I think I can taste every...single...ingredient in this cocktail.

It's weird, but good all at the same time.  If you want to taste a cocktail you have never tasted before, give this one a try.  Why not?!

On another note, we just found out that our son has been moved up to the varsity baseball team this year!

He's a sophomore and couldn't be happier......well, actually he'd be happier if he didn't still have to wear his giant boot when walking and could actually get on the field and play ball.
Come Monday, we have our next appt. with his doctor to see what the next step is.  We have our fingers crossed that he doesn't have to wear that boot anymore and can begin using his foot again.

For those of you who did not know, I am now an Independent Consultant for Jamberry Nails (http://jenpenas.jamberrynails.net/).

I am in LOVE with the product and am constantly wearing the nail wraps.  If you would like a sample or to host a party on Facebook contact me!  You'll be glad you did!

Our new Spring/Summer catalog will be coming out on March 1st, after that I think I'm going to do a giveaway for a FREE sheet of nail wraps.  Stay tuned!!

X-Rated Love Bug

X-Rated Love Bug

Here we are!  Somehow it is February 11th and this year is (and honestly has been) already in full swing.  Which means I need to bring you a fun Valentine's Day shooter to try before the weekend starts.

This Friday......Friday The 13th, our oldest daughter turns 6 (still in disbelief).  She was born on a Friday The 13th as well, so for us it's a very lucky day.

This year for her birthday we have invited (gasp) her entire kindergarten class over for her party.  We rented a jumpy so that the kids can get all of their energy out, then we will eat some pizza, make some bookmarks, eat cupcakes and have fun.

This year their "goodie bags" are actually a Step 1 book since they're all in kindergarten and learning to read.  I bought these books off of amazon for them all to take home, it's called May I Please Have A Cookie.  So they can make their own bookmarks here and have them to take home to mark their pages when they read.  I did this one other year for her birthday (the books not the bookmarks), I thought it was a nice change from the cheap plastic toys at the party store.

Since it's been a while since I've posted let me tell you why it's been so long.

Our oldest (now 16) hurt himself in a school basketball game 2 weeks ago.  At first the doctor thought it was a high ankle sprain and he might need surgery (yikes!!), after x-rays and an MRI we found out it wasn't a high ankle sprain (Thank You!), but he had a LOT of fluid in his ankle which was causing a lot of pain and swelling.

It took about a week and a half for us to see his ankle bone again.  So........needless to say, he's been on crutches ever since and FINALLY gets to try walking, in his ginormous boot along with the help of his crutches on Monday.......Hip Hip Hooray!!

Onto tonight's cocktail!  I wanted to make a pink cocktail to celebrate Valentine's Day, so I created the X-Rated Love Bug.  This cocktail combines X-Rated and Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur and it is good!!  It's quick and easy to make and quick and easy to shoot!
