Jim Beam white label is not a "great" bourbon. I would recommend you try a Manhattan with either Jim Beam black label or Maker's Mark. Maker's Mark tends to be a little sweeter bourbon overall, and may not be as harsh tasting as the Jim Beam white label. I would recommend Maker's as a good intro into bourbon whiskey.
