Spiked Caramel Egg

Have you ever tried a caramel egg?  How about if you spike it?  Sound better?  It sure does to me!

Last day of March........wait.......What?!?!

And there goes a fourth of the year.

Should I start planning our New Years party already?

Sheesh.

These weeks are fly-ing by I tell you.

This leaves me with 21 days until we host our annual Easter Dinner.  These 21 days are going to be here before I know it......better start preparing now.

This week our "high schooler" (still in shock that his freshman year will be over come the end of May) has Spring Break.

Then in a few weeks our 4th grader will have his.

It was nice when they were on the same schedule....oh well.

Our high school Spring break is consisting of 3 (wait 2 now that today's got postponed due to rain) baseball games and a bunch of practices.

This Saturday I will FINALLY be seeing the movie Divergent!  I am suuuuper excited because I read the books a while back and LOVED them.

OK, wait, I haven't read the third book yet as it came out more recently.  Anyway, dinner and a movie with some of my friends is gonna be great.

I have had this Cadbury Caramel Egg on my counter for a while now and finally had time today to create a cocktail for it.

This marks my second cocktail for Easter/Springtime this year, I still plan on making more, so stay tuned!

On a different note.......I OPENED AN ETSY SHOP!

Sorry, didn't mean to yell, but I'm just soooo excited!!

Being The Cocktail Lady, what better item is there for me to sell but cocktail/wine/beer charms?  I am also selling some photos I have taken.

As of right now I have my wine/cocktail charms that I have made up there in my shop, but am in the process of making beer charms as well.  Those will be up soon.

What was that?

Oh, you are curious about my skills?

Well wait no longer, here is my Etsy shop!!  I hope you like what you see!  I am having a fun time creating these and have more ideas on the way.

Here is a photo of the end results:

Here is my recipe for a Spiked Caramel Egg:

Spiked Caramel Egg
Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 ounces caramel vodka
  • 1 ounce Godiva chocolate liqueur
  • 1 ounce white creme de cacao
  • 1/2 ounce milk
  • 1/2 ounce Irish cream
  • caramel sauce
Instructions
I swirled caramel sauce in my martini glass and quickly stuck in the in freezer to make it (more or less) stay in place.

  1. I'm glad I'm missing two of these ingredients. This sounds like one that would be difficult to have in moderation. :)

I never read any of the books, so I had a completely fresh view of the movie. I liked it. Some parts defied belief, but when I remembered it was supposed to be a teen empowerment theme, it was easier to accept. Enjoy the night out!
