Thank You for your comment! So ...Hello PimpDaddy! Thank You for your comment! So basically I should have left out the club soda and added the orange peel in with the muddled items. That would have changed the flavor of the cocktail a bit. Well I guess my grandpa sure didn't drink it the way most people did =) Cheers!!Cocktail Ladyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05714171386272532861noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7244904475300513717.post-12148148504053896502012-07-19T09:54:01.517-07:002012-07-19T09:54:01.517-07:00Enjoy your site - very informative. Then add 2 oz of Rye or Bourbon, ice, and stir.

A proper Old Fashioned NEVER has Club Soda or Cherry. Those items ruin the drink.PImpDaddynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7244904475300513717.post-83468650852817651232012-05-30T13:49:54.881-07:002012-05-30T13:49:54.881-07:00Thank You for your comment! That makes the cocktail sound even better! Most of the recipes I saw (as well as the one my mom told me that my Grandpa used to enjoy) didn't have those, but they did have a lemon peel twisted on top as a garnish. I think if ever I do try this cocktail again, I am absolutely going to use your orange and cherry ingredients when I muddle the sugar and bitters. Thanks again!
