Twisted Pink

Day 149

Twisted Pink
4 shots out of 5

You can't celebrate National Pink Day without a coconut rum and juice mixed Twisted Pink cocktail!  This fruity cocktail is perfect for today!

I FINALLY found grapefruit juice at the grocery store!!

The store I used to get it at has closed due to remodeling, so I now go to a different store which has NOT had it every time I go.

Last night was a breakthrough!  My new store now has it and I couldn't be happier!!

I just hope they will still have it when this one is gone.

I gave tonight's cocktail 4 shots out of 5.

It took me a few sips to get "re-acquainted" with the taste of grapefruit juice, but once I did.......game on!

I am truly enjoying this cocktail and kinda wish I had made a bigger one.

I like the fact that each ingredient is equal in quantity to the others.  I can taste all three ingredients in here and they compliment each other nicely.

This would be a good mellow tasting cocktail to have when I'm not feeling the fruitier, sweeter cocktails.

Tonight I am using one of my new cocktail glasses that I had purchased recently at our local BevMo...........in case you were wondering!

Here is the recipe for a Twisted Pink:

  • 1 oz coconut rum
  • 1 oz cranberry juice
  • 1 oz grapefruit juice

In a cocktail glass add crushed ice and all ingredients above.  Stir well and enjoy!

Welcome back grapefruit juice, you were truly missed!!

Cheers!!

  1. You need a Wegmans :) They always have what I need.

  2. There's just something about summer that makes me want a fruity drink, especially when it also includes Malibu rum.
