Easter Margarita

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Our oldest is back to school as his spring break was last week, which means baseball practices and games are in full swing!

Next week starts our second oldest's spring break.

The nice thing about the elementary and middle schools here is that for spring break they (lately) have been getting the week before and the day after Easter off.  Nice!

Today I was online searching for some yummy looking Easter (the word Easter can be typed solely with your left hand) (you totally just tried it didn't you?) cocktail recipes......and kinda struck out.

Knowing I wanted to make something new for you all, I decided to just close my browser window and create something all of my own.

I have not yet heard of an Easter cocktail with tequila in it, so I decided.....let me be the first (or at least in my world.....I'm sure there are some out there)!

This cocktail is......um, really good!

If you have a crowd on Easter that enjoys tequila......or even if just  you enjoy tequila, this is the cocktail to make.

The juices go quite well with the tequila and the sweet & sour mix adds that perfect finishing touch to your margarita, yum!

Here is a photo of the end result:

Here is a photo of the ingredients:

Here is my recipe for an Easter Margarita:

  • 1 1/2 ounces cranberry cocktail juice
  • 1 ounce orange juice
  • 1 ounce silver tequila
  • 1/2 ounce sweet and sour mix

In a shaker, add ice and all of the ingredients above.  Stir it up well and dump everything into your cocktail glass.

Here is to yet another choice to make on Easter.  To margarita or not to margarita, THAT is the question!

  2. I would love to try this! We have tequila and orange juice on hand as I love Tequila Sunrises, but will have to get the other two ingredients!
