Passion Cocktail

Passion Cocktail

Passion Cocktail is a Valentine's Day tequila cocktail packed with a great flavor.

Did you watch the NFC game last night?

Oh, so many different things I could go on and on about.....but I won't.  I'll spare you.  All I can say is, Good Season Niners!  There is always next year.

Last night we celebrated our oldests son's 15th birthday.  We had a family celebration and what a good time we all had.

We are so very lucky that our families get along and not only that, they really enjoy spending time together.  It makes every family gathering even better.

Our third oldest's birthday is coming up, which means she is turning 5......which means (gasp) I will have three children in school come August!

WOW, where does the time go?

This year we will be having a Disney's Frozen birthday party.  I am thinking of getting these wall decals to stick up on the walls.

I did that with princess ones probably 2 years ago, and LOVED how they came right off the walls when the party was over.  We were able to stick them all back up on the walls in the girls room after the party and they're still there today.

Love Them!!

With Valentine's Day around the corner, I have set off on a search for Valentine cocktails.

I pinned last years cocktails here on my Pinterest board and plan to add more upcoming cocktails I make for this year.

Today's cocktail is called Passion Cocktail.

I found a recipe online and tweeked it a little bit to ensure that I would like it better.

First and foremost, I taste the tequila.

If you enjoy tequila cocktails, you will definitely enjoy this one.

I am not a huge fan of the taste of tequila, but I will admit that the taste of it in this cocktail isn't half bad.  It doesn't make me cringe at all, but it lets me know it's there.  I think this cocktail is pretty good.

Here is a photo of the end result:

Here is a photo of the ingredients:

Here is my recipe for a Passion Cocktail:

  • 1 ounce silver tequila
  • 1 1/2 ounces cranberry cocktail juice
  • 1/2 ounce lime juice
  • 1 ounce Grand Marnier

In a shaker, add ice, tequila, cranberry cocktail juice and lime juice.  Shake and strain into a martini glass.  Top off with the Grand Marnier and enjoy!

Here's to my first Valentine cocktail of the season!

Cheers!!

  1. As it happens, I do like the tequila, and I happen to have all these ingredients. I'll be trying this next weekend. I'm low carbing it, and I'm trying to limit my cocktails to one per weekend :)
