Desert Sunrise

Day 141

Desert Sunrise
5 shots out of 5

Yummmmm!

This is another great "Desert" cocktail by Finest Call.

I am enjoying their cocktails so far.

My theory is that if you find a cocktail recipe on an alcohol companies website, then it's more or less going to be a good one, because they're not going to put a nasty cocktail on their site where they're promoting their brand.

I gave tonight's cocktail 5 shots out of 5.

This cocktail is very refreshing.

It's a good add to my summer time cocktails of Back Porch Breeze, Leeches and MCA.

This is a light cocktail and the peach schnapps adds a very yummy blend to the prickly pear syrup and orange juice.

If you want to enjoy a nice tasting cocktail but don't want all of the alcohol content, this is a good choice!

Here is the recipe for a Desert Sunrise:

  • 1 oz prickly pear syrup
  • 1.25 oz peach schnapps
  • 4 oz orange juice
This is a layered cocktail, so first you want to fill up a tall cocktail glass 3/4 of the way with crushed ice.  Pour your prickly pear syrup in first, then your peach schnapps, then your orange juice.

Take a step back and admire your amazing layering job.  Then stir it up so that you can taste everything instead of just orange juice!

Thank You to Finest Call for yet another yummy cocktail recipe!!

Cheers!!

Desert Margarita

Day 132

Desert Margarita
5 shots out of 5

Hello Tequila!  Tonight........we are friends!

We are so very much friends that I just might make myself another of your fabulous Desert Margaritas.........and one for my husband too!

Tonight I will be enjoying you and you add much to tonight's cocktail!

I gave tonight's cocktail 5 shots out of 5.

Tonight's Desert Margarita is QUITE yummy!!

Husband agrees and is eyeing my cocktail right now.

I never would have thought of the flavor of prickly pear in a margarita, but as of tonight I will be looking for them in restaurants.

I have to admit the first sip.....I wasn't sure about, but then I gave it another sip and all of the flavors just worked.

I think I had LIME JUICE on my mind because of how much of it I had to put in this cocktail and that's what threw me off on the first sip......I think I was expecting to taste a super lime flavor that I made myself believe that it was really limey.

This is definitely a cocktail that I will be making again!
