Forty Niner Fever

Day 340

Forty Niner Fever
4.5 shots out of 5

Holy Moly!  What an awesome year for San Francisco sports fans!  First the San Francisco Giants win the World Series and now our Forty Niners are going to the Super Bowl!  I'm am soooo very excited.  Now that game two is over, we just found out that it will be a Harbowl!  Fun!

I gave tonight's cocktail 4.5 shots out of 5.  Since my Niners won today I thought I'd create a shooter just for them to celebrate the win!  I figured that it should have Goldschlager in it, since we are red and gold.  It should also have some kind of reddish color mixed in as well.  Unfortunately the end result didn't turn out red, but none the less this is a Fantastic shooter.  If you were wondering, yes it doesn taste even better in a Forty Niner shot glass!!

Here is my very own recipe for a Forty Niner Fever:

  • 1/2 oz Baileys
  • 1/2 oz Chambord
  • 1/2 oz Goldschlager
In a shaker, add ice and all of the ingredients above.  Shake and strain into your shot glass and enjoy!

Happy Friday to you all!!

We made it, the first official week back to school, work and our regular schedule.

Phewph, glad it's over.

I'm very happy to have all of my kids under the roof tonight with my husband and I.

I don't know how I'm going to handle it when the kids start moving out and going to college or what not.

I gave tonight's cocktail 4.5 shots out of 5.

A while ago I had made Christmas Cookie which I truely liked.  After I made it, Renee had commented letting me know that if I switch the peppermint schnapps for cinnamon schnapps my cocktail will become a Gingerbread Cookie and she assured me that it's amazing.

Well she was ABSOLUTELY right!

Oh my goodness this shooter is De-Lish-Us!!

Yum, thank you so very much Renee for you recipe I enjoyed it a little too much!

Oatmeal Cookie

Day 328

Oatmeal Cookie
5 shots out of 5

Oatmeal Cookie has 3 simple ingredients for a delicious taste!

Today is the day, today is the day!

Our oldest comes home today.

I swear I am checking his flight info every five minutes.  I can not wait to see him, hug him and hear all about his trip.  I sure wish they had a trip like that for me when I was in the eight grade.

In celebration, I decided to make another cookie shooter, like the cranberry cookie, but different.

I gave tonight's cocktail 5 shots out of 5.

WOW, I don't remember the last time I tried Goldschlager, but I have to say, it's pretty good.....when mixed in with other ingredients.  This shooter is amazing!

The cinnamon is definitely there, but not too there where I can't drink the whole thing.  It's a GREAT addition to this shot and I enjoyed it a lot.

I love it when I find shooters that are delicious and not face squinching, it makes me happy.
