Irish Cookie

Irish Cookie
2.5 shots out of 5

I absolutely can NOT believe that we finally made it to Friday!

This has been a loooong couple of weeks.  4 sick kids, fevers up to 107.6, 5 ear infections, 4 different kinds of anti-biotics, enough motrin and tylenol to deserve stock in each company......sheeesh.

I do see the light at the end of the tunnel though!  The fevers are gone, the kids are back in school and our anti-biotics are definitely working.  This mom deserves a cocktail......or two.

I gave tonight's cocktail 2.5 shots out of 5.

I found this cocktail on a recipe page from Pinnacle. I have to say, I am not a huge fan of the cookie dough vodka.  Sorry......I know I just crushed some of you out there.

If you are a fan of this flavor of vodka, I think you may just really like tonight's cocktail.  I can see how the Bailey's and milk work well with the cookie dough flavor, it's just not working for me.

I will finish this cocktail, don't get me wrong, but I will find something else to drink after it.

Anyways, I hope you all have a good weekend.  We are having friends over tonight for pizza and.......you guessed it, cocktails!  Then we have a double date scheduled for tomorrow night, BOY do I need a night out.

Macaroon

Day 335

Macaroon
3 shots out of 5

Macaroon cocktail for National Macaroon Day.

Did you know that May 31st is National Macaroon Day?

No?

Well you'd better go check out my National Drinking Days Calendar so that you don't miss another excuse to drink National Holiday to celebrate!

‒–——————————————⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻

It's official, our oldest is 14 today.

My how the years seems to fly by when you're not paying attention........not that we're not paying attention, more like too busy with four kids to sit back and take a few minutes to take in every minute.

None the less, I'm very excited that today is his birthday (I get excited every time one of my kids has a birthday really) and I look forward to celebrating him and cooking his birthday dinner.

I gave tonight's cocktail 3 shots out of 5.

I found this cocktail on a PDF from Pinnacle.

I must say that I do like this cocktail with the cookie dough vodka better then last night's cocktail with the same vodka.

As I adore my coconut rum, I rarely like to eat coconut flavored foods.

That being said, I asked my husband to try this cocktail to see if it did in fact taste like a macaroon.

He said, and I quote "Yea, it did........kind of".

There you have it, ha ha.  I'll let you be the judge....if you choose to do so.

Chocolate Chunk

Day 334

Chocolate Chunk
2.5 shots out of 5

Monday, the start of yet another week.

I was at our local CVS today while my youngest son was at Tae Kwon Do and I found a bottle of Pinnacle Cookie Dough vodka.

I decided to buy it and as I was grabbing it, I found an Irish Cream Liqueur for half of the price of Baileys.

I figured it was worth a shot.

Once the Baileys is gone, I'll be trying the new brand (fingers crossed).

I gave tonight's cocktail 2.5 shots out of 5.

First things first.

I'm not a cookie dough lover, even when that flavor of ice cream was "oh so" popular.

I mean, sure it tasted OK, but by no means did I HAVE TO have it.

Tonight's cocktail was OK.

I think there should have been more chocolate liqueur in this shooter.

The taste of this vodka is different and needs to be not an equal contributor to this cocktail.

I would assume that those of you who really do enjoy the cookie dough flavor would enjoy this shooter more then I did.

I found tonight's recipe on a PDF made by Pinnacle.
