TMNT Michelangelo

TMNT
Michelangelo

TMNT Michelangelo, cocktail

With Alice through the looking glass coming out, we FINALLY saw Alice in Wonderland last night!  Another actor we love is Johnny Depp.

We love him in all of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and more.  He plays the oddest characters and we totally dig him.

Next on our list to watch is the TMNT movie so that we'll be caught up when it's time to watch TMNT2!

That brings me to today's cocktail.

Today I move onto my favorite turtle of them all, Michelangelo.

Is it because of the mutual love we have for pizza?  Is it his over use of Cowabunga, Dude!  Is it because of his simply happy, fun loving nature?  Yes....all of the above!  I think he'd be someone fun to hang out with and have some beers, shots or cocktails with for sure.

Michelangelo is a bubbly, funny, comical dude.

Knowing that I decided to use orange soda to capture his bubbly personality as main ingredient.

Adding some orange whipped vodka and whipped cream vodka, this cocktail will have you surfing down the sewers in no time!

Don't forget to check out my other turtle cocktails: TMNT Raphael, TMNT Leonardo, TMNT Donatello as well as my Ninja Turtle cocktail and Hockey Stick.

Pride Shots

I woke up late today!

Did you hear that?

I slept in!!

What that actually means is that I kept my kids up late enough last night that THEY all slept in......which in turn allows me to sleep in.

It was nice being able to wake up after 7:00 in the morning.

I then got up, made my children (those who were awake......the 14 year old seems to sleep in a lot) breakfast, myself coffee and logged onto my computer.

Today I created a rainbow of shots (not all good I will totally admit) and called them Pride Shots.

In my head I came up with the combinations of alcohols and liqueurs to create the colors I wanted (totally hoping they'd all taste good......kind of knowing they might not).

Now saying that, some of these combos........weren't the best tasting flavors, but the colors, perfect!

I did have a friend over and she started at one end and I the other and we drank half of each shot each until we hit opposite ends.

We smiled at some and make yucky faces at the others.

All in all it was fun!

I have not come up with individual names yet for each shot, but I think they're all part of a greater group.

Orange Whipped-tini

Day 191

Orange Whipped-tini
4 shots out of 5

Well we made it!

My second oldest son is officially 8 years old today!

I can't believe it, time just goes by way too fast.

I'm glad this week is over.

It's been a long, sleepless week and I'm Oh So ready for the weekend!!

I gave tonight's cocktail 4 shots out of 5.

Pinnacle, you've done it again.

Great cocktail!

I am very much enjoying their Whipped Vodkas, they add such a nice creamy flavor to your cocktails.

I can totally taste the orange whipped flavor, as well as the pineapple juice and triple sec in this cocktail.

Not one ingredient completely overpowered another.

I think I can taste the vodka the most, but only by enough to make this an enjoyable cocktail.

Here is a photo of the end result:

Sweet Orange Cream

Day 190

Sweet Orange Cream
5 shots out of 5

Oh my goodness my second oldest turns 8 years old tomorrow.

Am I in denial?

Maybe a little bit.

We ran around ALL DAY LONG today getting everything ready for his family party this weekend.

He's very excited and so am I.

I gave tonight's cocktail 5 shots out of 5.

I am LOVING........yes LOVING this Pinnacle Orange Whipped vodka!!  It smells like a 50/50 bar.....or creamsicles if you're more familiar with that name for them.

I found tonight's recipe of the Pinnacle website.

If you're wondering why I go there to get a lot of my cocktail recipes that include their vodka, it's because they out of all people "should" have the best recipes for their vodkas.

So far I have been happy with what I've found, therefore I will continue to check them out for new, fun recipes.

Tonight's cocktail is one of those that I could make a big pitcher of for a party and everyone would enjoy it.......plus it would go fast!

Here is the recipe for a Sweet Orange Cream:
(Pinnacle's site has each ingredient doubled, but I only had a sampler bottle, so I had to half it.)
  • 1 oz Pinnacle Orange Whipped vodka
  • 1 oz pineapple juice
  • 1 oz cranberry juice
In a short cocktail glass filled with ice, add all three ingredients above.  Stir up your cocktail and enjoy its deliciousness!!

Here's to you Pinnacle vodka and another amazing flavored vodka!!

Cheers!!
