Millionaire's Coffee

Millionaire's coffee is the BEST hot, flavorful cocktail that includes Irish cream liqueur, hazelnut liqueur & coffee liqueur.

Have I got the BEST hot flavorful coffee cocktail in the whole wide world for you!

That's right!  I said it!

The BEST!  Until I find better anyways........

Millionaire's Coffee is so flavorful and delicious I almost couldn't believe it.  See I'm not huge on alcohol in coffee (gasp........what?  The Cocktail Lady....NOT into alcohol in coffee).  I know sounds weird right?  Well the thing is, I like my alcohol cold.  I like it shaken, stirred, blended.....but not usually hot.

This cocktail is for sure the ultimate exception!

OK let's start with the main ingredient, coffee.

For YEARS we have had a regular coffee maker.  You know the kind, coffee grinds into a filter.  Pour the water in the top......some of it spills all over the counter no matter how slow or quick you pour.  Eventually a pot of coffee has been brewed.

Now we have a Keurig 2.0 AND I LOVE IT!!!!  It always takes me a little while to "agree" to get the latest and greatest (VHS --> DVD or film to digital camera), and in the end I'm always happy I switched.  Here is the Keurig we have:

One of the main reasons why I LOVE our coffee maker is because you can CHOOSE the amount of coffee you want brewed!!  Totally cool, right?  Such as in this recipe, you need 6 ounces of hot coffee.  Well problem solved and I didn't even have to use ANY measuring cups!  Love It!

OK, so here's "The Best" coffee cocktail being built:

First goes the coffee.

Next the Irish Cream Liqueur.

Add the hazelnut liqueur.

Don't forget the coffee liqueur.

Stir it up well.

Never forget the whipped cream!!

The ground cinnamon on top perfects this cocktail!

  1. Brew six ounces of hot coffee and pour it into a tall cocktail glass.
  2. Pour in the Irish cream liqueur, hazelnut liqueur and coffee liqueur.
  3. Stir well.

There you have it!  Millionaire's Coffee.

Tiramisu Martini

Tiramisu Martini

Tiramisu Martini is oh so delicious and the perfect cocktail to satisfy your sweet tooth!

tiramisu, tiramisu martini, vodka, kahlua, baileys, cocktail, coffee liqueur, irish cream liqueur

Hey everyone!

It's me.

I am soooo excited to show you all this cocktail I just created!

Soooo sooooo excited.

Can you say chocolatey? (Side note, I'm not a huge chocolate fan...but this here cocktail, oh my!)

Tiramisu is my husbands and my dessert.  Reason being is that when we went to Tahoe for a snowboarding trip all of those years ago, my husband proposed and for our engagement dessert they gave us a tiramisu.

From then on, it has always held a very special place in my heart.

I know.........I know.........it's been a while since my last post.  A little bit over a month to be exact, but I will tell you it's been absolutely crazy around here.

Anyone else have 4 kids in school ranging from a senior in high school (gasp.....I need to stop saying that out loud--maybe it won't be true) to a kindergartner?

Between the 4 different times they are getting out of school to the four different levels of homework, throw in a couple different sports, trying to figure out college paths, second grade field trips.......you know what I'm going to stop right there or I might make myself another one of these SUPER DELICIOUS cocktails to drink.

It has definitely been a while since I have made a cocktail where I drizzle chocolate syrup inside of the glass.

I had forgotten how much fun it was to drink a cocktail like that!  I also rimmed the glass with chocolate syrup as well as cocoa powder.

Then it's just mixing the ingredients, shaking and straining.  Yup, it's THAT easy!

After that  you get to do the best part of making a cocktail, drink it!

Here is my recipe for a Tiramisu Martini:

  • 1 1/2 ounces vanilla vodka
  • 1 1/2 ounces creme de cacao
  • 1 1/2 ounces coffee liqueur

Here's to the last couple days of September, yup, there goes another month!  I am looking forward to October though.  I can't wait to start decorating the house for Halloween and creating Halloween and Fall type cocktails!

Cheers!

Coffee and Tres Leches

tres leches cocktail shot, tres leches liqueur, kahlua, coffee liqueur, layered shot

I am soooo excited today!!

Today, thanks to all of you out there, I have reached 1000 followers on my Pinterest page!!

You are all amazing and I Thank You from the bottom of my heart!

Guess what........my Facebook page is not too far behind with 960 Likes!!  Like I said, you all totally rock!!  OH OH and I created an awesome shirt and am selling them on Teespring, here's a link to check it out.  They're only available for 3 more days, so be sure to order them today!

Since I'm excited about it and it's been a loooong week (yes I know it's not over yet), I wanted to create something new for you all to try.

Trust me, you'll WANT to try this!!

I bought a bottle of Tres Leches liqueur a while back and besides having people sample it when they come over, I haven't made a cocktail with it.  I wanted to change that so I thought coffee sounded good with Tres Leches AND I WAS RIGHT!!

This is soo delicious!

If you have a bottle of each of these two simple ingredients, you will need to try this layered shooter.

This is a good start to my evening.

After I finish cooking dinner and eating with the family, my husband and I are headed out to have a beer.......or two at our favorite local Irish Pub to celebrate my 1000 Pinterest followers.  Thanks to you all, I get to have a couple beers!

If you have tried Tres Leches liqueur before and have some awesome cocktail recipes for me to try, I would love to hear about them!  Email me at cocktailady@gmail.com or you can use the contact form on the left hand side of this page!

    Cinnamon Latte

If you have not already heard, I am dedicating today and these next 4 days to Fireball Whisky.

When I find a yummy sounding shooter or cocktail that they post on Facebook, I re-post it on my Facebook page A Year Of Cocktails.  (If you haven't already, go ahead and "like" my page)

I now have 5 that I want to try, so I thought this would be a great way to try them.

    I call it:

Today I start off these 5 days with one of their shooters they call Cinnamon Latte.

I do taste the Fireball the most in this shooter, but it is not overwhelming enough to set my mouth on fire.....which is a good thing.

Don't get me wrong, I like Fireball......but I can't make a Fireball on the rocks and enjoy it, it's just too hot for me.

I have made a few Fireball Whisky cocktails in the past and have enjoyed them all, so I fully expect to enjoy these "5 Days Of Fireball" a lot too.

On a side note, school is coming to an end.....yes I said it.....can I believe it?

    Maybe?

Our oldest's Freshman year will be over next week and he will only have (sniff, sniff) 3 more years of High School to go.

He is growing up so fast.....actually they all are.

That being said, I am selling customized teacher/school wine charms at my Etsy Shop if anyone is stuck on what to get your child's teacher.

I know "wine" charms might not sound like the right gift, but if they were called "Coffee Mug" charms I think that would sound better, ha ha.

I am also now making customized favors (which you can check out here) for Bachelorette Parties, Baby Shower, Wedding Showers, Weddings, Birthday Parties, etc.

Check them out here at my Etsy Shop as well.

Spread the word, you never know who is looking for sometime new and totally customizable!

OK, OK, back to today's cocktail.

Here are my links to Days 2-5:

    Pumpkin Mudslide

Yes I'm aware it's not quite noon yet.

    Don't judge me.

Today's cocktail is definitely in order, I assure you.  Why you ask?  Well the fever bug has been and still is running through our house.  I was up in the middle of the night with our latest fever reliever last night and today....well.....I just need a cocktail.

Things have been good, crazy, busy, fun, and non-stop here for the past week few weeks.  Somehow it became October without anyone asking me if it was OK.

Well, I must say it is OK.

Now it is that time of the year for pumpkin flavored cocktails.

I found this Pumpkin Mudslide from Spryte's Place.

Apparently her sister introduced this cocktail to her a couple years ago and when I found it I knew I had to give it a try.

Glad I did!  Please thank you sister Spryte!

    This cocktail is quite good.

Their recipe calls for equal amounts of each ingredient and a splash of milk (or however much you would like).  I decided on an amount and added it to it, but I think you could even skip the milk to taste the liqueurs even more.

I will be remembering this cocktail and will whip up a batch of it at an upcoming get together for sure.

Here is a photo of the end result:

Here is to the first of (hopefully) many holiday/seasonal cocktails on the way!

    Holiday Mint Cocoa

Holiday Mint Cocoa, Christmas cocktail, milk, cocoa powder, chocolate powder, peppermint schnapps, Kahlua, coffee liqueur, Mint Cocoa picture, Mint Cocoa photo, Mint Cocoa image

    Hello.  Hello.

WOW we have been in High School crazy town.

Our oldest just had his "final" freshman orientation and registration on Thursday.  He received his classes and school starts on Wednesday.  He is very excited to be starting high school and we are very excited for him.

It's hard when one of your children starts getting to that age where you need to take a step (or three) back and just let them begin to handle things on their own.

He is very smart (3.80 GPA), very athletic, funny (must be he has my sense of humor, ha ha), relaxed and handsome all at the same time.

He is SO ready for this next chapter in his life and we are ready to cheer him on.

My girls have been asking for hot cocoa a LOT lately.....which makes me think of winter.

That is what gave me the idea of creating a hot cocoa and adding some yummy liqueurs to it.

When I think of winter and cocktails the flavor of peppermint comes to mind so I knew I had to include it in tonight's cocktail.

    This cocktail is really good.

I usually just put a packet of hot chocolate (the one with mini marshmallows of course) inside a hot cup of water and call it a day.

I knew for my blog that I had to step it up a notch and use warmed milk and cocoa powder instead.

Here is a photo of the end result:

Here is my recipe for a Holiday Mint Cocoa:

    • 3/4 cup milk
    • 1 1/2 tablespoons cocoa/chocolate powder
    • 3/4 ounce peppermint schnapps
    • 1/2 ounce Kahlua (you can use coffee liqueur also)
    • marshmallows and/or whipped cream to put on top
Pour the milk into your coffee cup and heat it up in the microwave.  Heat it until it is warm enough to drink, but not too hot.....you don't want to burn your mouth.  Next pour in the cocoa/chocolate powder and stir it up until it all dissolves.  Pour in your peppermint schnapps and Kahlua.  Stir and top with marshmallows and/or whipped cream.

Here's to my girls inspiring tonight's cocktail!

    Blow Job

    Day 323

    Blow Job
    4 shots out of 5

The every so popular Blow Job shot is a fun shot to watch people do as well as very delicious to drink yourself!

blow job shot, kahlua, Baileys, Irish Cream Liqueur, cocktail, blow job image, blow job photo, blow job picture

I totally will admit that I sort of miss making the holiday cocktails I got to make last month.

I do know that there are many more cocktails out there that need to be made though, so onward and upward.

    Happy 3rd of January.

Today my oldest left on a six day trip with some of his classmates heading across the country.......I am a sad Mama today, but totally excited for him and his many adventures he will be having.

    I gave tonight's cocktail 4 shots out of 5.

I have ordered these for friends and seem them before, yet never tried one.

Part because of the name and knowing that if I was to order one for myself, that at the exact moment I was to yell it to the bartender the entire bar would go quiet and I would look like a perv.

The other reason why I haven't ordered one yet is because from time to time I have these "not so coordinated" moments in life and I just know that because of the way you are supposed to drink this shot....with your mouth only putting your hands behind your back.......yea that thing would be all over me and the floor and.....well just everywhere.

    A huge mess.

Instead I made it tonight in the comfort of my own home and totally shot it like a regular shot (sorry, didn't want to clean up after myself).

I did like this shooter and the whipped cream on top added to its yumminess.

Here is a photo of the end result:

Here is the recipe for a Blow Job:

    • 3/4 oz Kahlua
    • 3/4 oz Baileys
    • whipped cream
In a shot glass, pour in your Kahlua first and then layer your Baileys on top.  Finish it off with some whipped cream and if you're brave enough, drink it with your mouth only!

Here's to finally trying tonight's shooter.

    Cheers!!
