Pumpkin-Chai Pie

Day 303

Pumpkin-Chai Pie
5 shots out of 5

Happy Friday!

My husband is officially off of work for three weeks.

Today when my kids came home from school I hugged them a little tighter.

What a horrible, sad thing that happened today in Connecticut.  Makes me sick to my stomach.

I am very thankful for my children, I love them dearly.

I gave tonight's cocktail 5 shots out of 5.

Oh my, did I create a winner or did I create a winner?!?!

This little shooter is scrumptious.

The chai and the pumpkin flavors (once again like in my Pumpkin Chai Coffee) go amazingly together and the whipped cream vodka adds a nice touch to this cocktail as well.

Make sure you put the whipped cream on top of it too, it adds to it's awesomeness!  I hope you are all having a great day and will have a fun weekend filled with delicious cocktails!

Here is a photo of the end result:

Pumpkin Chai Coffee

Day 267

Pumpkin Chai Coffee
5 shots out of 5

It's raining, it's pouring........what better on a rainy day then a hot coffee?

I'll tell you, a hot coffee with some liqueurs in it, that's what!

Tonight's the night, we go to our oldest son's high school orientation and finally have to admit that, Yes, our son is old enough to be starting high school next year.

I gave tonight's this afternoon's cocktail 5 shots out of 5.

I still had not finished my coffee I had made from this morning, so why not create a cocktail with it?

I have already created Jen's Chai Coffee a little while back and now that I have purchased this pumpkin pie liqueur, I thought it would make a great addition to my coffee.

I was right!  This is going to be a Fall-time favorite around here, I just know it!

Here is a photo of the end result:

Here is a photo of the ingredients:

Here is my recipe for a Pumpkin Chai Coffee:

  • 5 1/2 oz coffee
  • 1/2 oz Voyant Chai Liqueur
  • 1/2 oz Pumpkin Pie Liqueur
In a coffee cup, pour in all of your ingredients, stir and heat until it's comfortable for you to drink!  You can add whipped cream on top, which I would have done if the kids hadn't used it all and put the empty can back in the fridge.

Here's to warm Fall cocktails!

Cheers!!

Jen's Chai Coffee

Day 230

Jen's Chai Coffee
5 shots out of 5

Jen's Chai Coffee has 2 simple ingredients to knock your coffee game up a few notches!

I finally caught what the kids have had for the past week and a half.

Being sick combined with it being hotter then it really should be = Not a fun day for me!

I'm just glad that today is Tuesday and we don't have any baseball, soccer, softball or Tae Kwon Do today.

I gave tonight's cocktail 5 shots out of 5.

I created this one myself, so I'm naming it after me!

I literally took today's coffee, some Voyant Chai and whipped cream and mixed them together to make my new favorite home made (minus the growing of the beans and harvesting and all that) coffee!

I first tried it with cold coffee, since the Voyant is cold........um.....NO!  Then I stuck it in the microwave for 25 seconds and YUMMY!!

I think tonight's cocktail will help me feel better....coffee? Voyant? whipped cream?  I think so!

(Remember if you can not buy Voyant Chai in your state, you can order it online at drinkupny or at astorwine)

Here is a photo of the end result:

Jen's Chai Coffee has 2 simple ingredients to knock your coffee game up a few notches!

Here is a photo of the ingredients:

Here is the recipe for Jen's Chai Coffee:

  • 3/4 C coffee (which also equals 6 3/4 oz.....I know......I measured it out)
  • 2 oz Voyant Chai
  • whipped cream to squirt on top
If you have cold coffee, pour the amount above into your coffee mug, add your Voyant Chai and stick it in the microwave for 25 seconds (may be more of less depending on your microwave).  Stir it up and put some whipped cream on top.

If you have hot coffee, pour the amount above into your coffee mug, add your Voyant Chai, stir and squirt some whipped cream on top.

Always test your cocktail before squirting the whipped cream on top to make sure it's warm/hot enough for you.

Here's to being sick and being able to have a warm cocktail to make me feel better!

Cheers!!

Chai-tini

Day 217

Chai-tini
4 shots out of 5

I'm quite honestly not sure if this day will ever end.

It's been "National Drive All Over The Place Day" today for me.

I'm exhausted and ready for this cocktail I have here.  Then I'll eat dinner.  Maybe.  Raviolis......yes I'll definitely eat dinner.

I gave tonight's cocktail 4 shots out of 5.

I got tonight's cocktail from Petit Chef.  There is a pretty good blend of ingredients in this cocktail I must say.

The only thing I think I would change is the Chai to Baileys & Kahlua ratio.  I would definitely lessen the Kahlua to 1 oz.

The Baileys could either stay the same or lessen to 3/4 oz.

I think the amount of Kahlua gives it too much of a bite and takes away the chai flavor and you know how much I love this Voyant Chai liqueur, so I think I just want to taste more of it......especially since it's called a Chai-tini.  Either way, it's a good cocktail.

Only 2 days left for my Vinturi Spirit Aerator Giveaway!!  Enter today for your chance to win!!

Here is a photo of the end result:

Here is a photo of the ingredients:

Here is the recipe for a Chai-tini:

  • 2 oz Voyant Chai
  • 2 oz Baileys
  • 2 oz Kahlua
  • 1 oz vanilla vodka
  • 1/4 oz milk (whenever a cocktail asks for a "splash" of anything, I put in 1/4 oz.  I actually measured my "splash" once and that's what it was, so I stick with it)
In a shaker, add ice and all of the ingredients above.  Shake it up well and strain it into a frosted martini glass.

Don't forget, if you can't get Voyant Chai in your state, you can always order it online at either www.drinkupny.com or www.astorwine.com.  Here's to this Wednesday ending......soon I hope!

Cheers!!

First Down Shot

Day 216

First Down Shot
5 shots out of 5

It's softball Tuesday and we won our first playoff game last week, so fingers crossed we win tonight!

Since it's softball Tuesday, I'm going to make a shot for tonight's cocktail.

I found tonight's shot on intoxicologist, where Cheri has a list of great cocktails for the football games!

I gave tonight's cocktail 5 shots out of 5.

Great job inventing this one Cheri!

These two flavors are amazing by themselves, but when you put them together in glass, YUM!!

They're both smooth liqueurs that compliment each other very well, but not enough to over power the other.

I can honestly say that I can taste both liqueurs evenly in my shot glass.

This shot went down sooo smoothly......that it's almost impossible not to make another one!

Don't forget to enter into my contest giveaway to win your very own Vinturi Spirit Aerator!!

As some of you know, Voyant Chai Creme Liqueur is not available in all states (like mine), but it can be purchased online at these sites www.drinkupny.com as well as www.astorwine.com.

Take it from me, this liqueur is worth it!!

Here is a photo of the end result:

Here is a photo of the ingredients:

Here is the recipe for a First Down Shot:

  • 1/2 oz Voyant Chai Creme Liqueur
  • 1/2 oz Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur
First pour in your Voyant Chai into a shot glass.  Next you are going to layer the Godiva on top of the Voyant Chai by slowly pouring it on the back of a spoon that is slanted downward into your shot glass.  Make sure the bottom of your spoon is touching the inside of the shot glass as your are pouring.

Here's to Cheri and her amazing First Down Shot!!

Chai Colada

Day 202

Chai Colada
5 shots out of 5

We're back in the swing of things this week with the boys second week of school and our oldest girl having a very successful first day of Tiny Tots!

She did not stop rambling on and on about it all day!

All in all, today was a good day!

I gave tonight's cocktail 5 shots out of 5.

Tonight I was able to pull out my blender again!  I haven't done that in quite some time.

Another great cocktail from the people at Voyant Chai!

The Chai Cream Liqueur I could just drink by itself..........oh wait that's right.......I have already!

Mixing the Chai Cream Liqueur with the cream of coconut and the pineapple juice........brilliant!!

I stuck a straw in this one and had to remember half way through my cocktail to turn around and let my husband take a big sip, otherwise it would have been gone in no time!

If you are in a state where they sell Voyant Chai Cream Liqueur I highly suggest you buy some and try some of their recipes!

Here is a photo of the end result:

Here is a photo of the ingredients:

Here is the recipe for a Chai Colada:

  • 2 1/2 oz Voyant Chai Cream Liqueur
  • 7/8 oz cream of coconut (I know, 7/8.....lame, but I had to half their recipe and then half it again)
  • 7/8 oz pineapple juice (I know......again with the 7/8...just eyeball it, make it right below the 1 oz mark)
In a blender add a cup of ice and all of the ingredients above.  Blend until all of the ice is gone and enjoy!!

Here's to another amazing cocktail from Voyant!

The Torpedo

Day 123

The Torpedo
3.5 shots out of 5

Happy Father's Day to all of you Fathers, Dads, Grandpas, Papas, Uncles, Brothers, etc.

I hope you all enjoyed your day.

We had a wonderful weekend, filled with family, friends, beers and cocktails!  Back to another week off of school.

I gave tonight's cocktail 3.5 shots out of 5.

My husband and I both made a face at first when we saw a recipe for The Torpendo on the Voyant website that contained Jager.

Then we took a second and thought......you know, the chai just may mask the total effects and taste of the Jager.

I poured it, shook it, strained it and gave it a whirl........not bad!  My husband liked this one, definitely.

When you taste it, at first you get the chai taste which us super yummy.........then after a few seconds comes that Jager taste.

The chai does do a pretty good job of masking it, I must say and that is why tonight's cocktail got such a high rating.

Here is a photo of the end result:

Here is a photo of the ingredients:

Here is the recipe for The Torpedo:

  • 1/2 shot Voyant Chai Liqueur
  • 1/2 shot Jagermeister

In a shaker, add ice, Voyant Chai Liqueur and Jagermeister.  Shake it all up real well and strain it into a shot glass.

Here's to a fun weekend!  Hope you all enjoyed yours as much as I enjoyed mine!!

Cheers!!

Hazelnut Heaven

Day 95

Hazelnut Heaven
5 shots out of 5

Oh My Goodness!!!!

I sure do wish that they sold this Voyant Chai Cream Liqueur in my state!!

I'm going to be very sad when my bottle is all gone!

Tonight's cocktail is amazing and I absolutely love this stuff!

If you live in a state that sells it, I highly recommend you buy a bottle and try some of their cocktails.

I gave tonight's cocktail 5 shots out of 5.

The mixture of the ingredients in tonight's cocktail....is.....ah-maz-ing!

I had my husband and one of my best friends try this one with me tonight and we all agree that this is an extremely good cocktail!

The hazelnut liqueur in this cocktail compliments the chai flavor sooooo much that I just can't believe how smooth and flavorful it is.

I wish I could pass out little tastes to all of you!

If you do know of other amazing recipes with the Voyant Chai Creme Liqueur in it, please send it to me, I'd love to try them out.

Here is a photo of the end result:

Chai Berry Martini

Day 68

Chai Berry Martini
4.5 shots out of 5

Welcome to my blog Voyant Chai Cream Liqueur!  This liqueur is very very yummy!  I had never heard of it until Trisha emailed me about it.  Unfortunately it is not yet distributed in my state, so I was unable to go to my local liquor or grocery store and purchase it.  I then decided to email the manufacturer and find out how I can get a bottle of it so that I could try it and blog about it.  I honestly didn't think I would get an email back, but within an hour I checked my inbox and not only had I received an email back from the company stating that they would send me a bottle of their Voyant Chai Cream Liqueur, then even said that they would send me a bottle of their Spiced Rum to try as well!!  I promised to try and blog about them both, and you can find my review for each of their two items they sent me on my Product Review tab.

I gave tonight's cocktail 4.5 shots out of 5.  I really like the flavors I taste in this cocktail!  The three ingredients compliment each other quite well.  I would love to try this liqueur in other cocktails as well, so stay tuned for that!  This martini is definitely creamy and I have to say I have not had one like this before.  Most of the martini's I make are fruity and not creamy, but this is a nice change.  Thank You Trisha for sparking my interest in finding and trying this cream liqueur!  I am enjoying it a lot!

Here is the recipe for a Chai Berry Martini:

  • 1 shot vanilla vodka
  • 2 shots Voyant Chai Cream Liqueur
  • 1 shot Chambord
In a shaker add ice, vanilla vodka, Voyant Chai Cream Liqueur and Chambord.  Shake it up real well so that everything blends together real good.  Strain your cocktail into a chilled martini glass and enjoy!

Here is a photo of the end result:

I want to say a big Thank You to the people who made tonight's cocktail happen.  Your Voyant Chai Cream Liqueur is amazingly good!!

Cheers!!
